Privacy Policy

1. Information WorkSpeak may process

Depending on how you use WorkSpeak, we may process the following categories of information:

• Account information: email address, account/user identifiers, authentication information, and profile details supplied by your sign-in provider.
• Speech and conversation data: microphone audio used during speaking practice, speech transcriptions, conversation turns, and generated feedback.
• Learning data: curriculum progress, completed lessons, Free Practice entitlement state, and related learning activity.
• App activity and identifiers: feature interactions, lesson starts/completions, anonymous app/browser identifiers, and related product analytics.
• Subscription information: plan or entitlement status and transaction-related records received from the applicable payment provider.

2. How we use information

We use this information to provide and improve WorkSpeak, including to:

• run Guided and Free Practice conversations;
• transcribe speech and generate relevant feedback;
• save learning progress and account entitlements;
• authenticate users and manage accounts;
• measure product usage and improve reliability and learning flows;
• process subscription status and prevent abuse or unauthorized access;
• comply with legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention obligations where required.

3. AI and service providers

WorkSpeak uses service providers to operate the product. For example, AI and speech-processing providers may receive the audio, transcript, or conversation context needed to perform a practice session. Hosting, authentication, analytics, and payment providers may process the minimum information needed to provide their services.

WorkSpeak currently uses OpenAI technology for AI voice/speech functionality. Web subscription payments may be handled by Lemon Squeezy. When purchases are offered through an app marketplace, the applicable marketplace payment system may process the transaction.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

4. Audio and conversation data

Microphone access is used only when you start a speaking feature that requires it. Audio is transmitted over encrypted connections for speech/AI processing. Conversation transcripts, learning results, or feedback may be retained when needed to provide WorkSpeak features, maintain progress, operate the service, or investigate errors and abuse.

Third-party processors may retain data according to their own service terms, our configuration, and applicable legal requirements.

5. Payments

Full payment-card details are processed by the payment provider rather than WorkSpeak. We may receive transaction identifiers, plan information, purchase status, renewal/cancellation status, and similar information needed to grant or manage Pro access.

6. Data retention

Account-linked information may be kept while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service. When you request account deletion, we normally process the request within 30 days.

Limited records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, chargeback, fraud-prevention, security, or other legal obligations. Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may also be retained.

7. Security

WorkSpeak uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections for data transmitted between your device and supported online services. We also limit access to account and product data to systems and providers needed to operate WorkSpeak.

8. Your choices

You can use the free Guided portion of WorkSpeak without creating an account where that flow is available. Account-linked features require authentication. You can also change local appearance preferences from WorkSpeak Settings.

9. Children

WorkSpeak is designed for workplace English practice and is intended for adult users. It is not designed as a service for children under 18.

10. Contact and related PergAI information

WorkSpeak is a PergAI product. For privacy questions, use the contact information published by PergAI. PergAI's general privacy information may also apply to shared account or platform services outside WorkSpeak.
